YouMail Inc. – a provider of digital secretary services for administering mobile voicemail – has launched a new Android (News - Alert) app, and the service succeeded in managing more than one million calls a day.

In addition, there were about 450 million calls processed on the whole, and more than 100 million in the past three months.

Home of the features of the latest Android app include:

Smart greetings of YouMail (News - Alert) which automatically addresses callers by name.

Choosing and using greetings recorded in the application or recorded and uploaded online by users.

Toggling effortlessly between status greetings. For example, "I'm on a plane" or "I'm at a meeting," etc.

Users have the ability to select between smart greetings or recording a greeting when they begin to use the application. Also, they can save an email copy of all voicemails they have sent.

Broad user adoption has enhanced the effective YouMail usage metrics equally within both Fortune 50 companies and small businesses.

The YouMail BlackBerry (News - Alert) application is consistently listed as a top "Productivity" download and the YouMail API-powered YouView visual voicemail application consistently maintained the top position for paid apps in the Palm app store. This augmented the usage of YouMail's premium voice-to-text offerings.

Alex Quilici (News - Alert) , who is the company’s CEO, said that, "We're very excited and pleased to see YouMail growing so quickly, marked by both our new Android app and passing the 450 million calls benchmark. This clearly shows both significant consumer demand for our offering and demonstrates our ability to scale our offering."

The expansion of the company has also been driven via regional wireless and VOIP carriers who identify how efficiently YouMail enhances the functionality and simplicity of their conventional voicemail systems.

YouMail have been set as the standard voicemail service by carriers such as IMMIX Wireless in Pennsylvania, Cellular One in East Central Illinois, Blue Wireless in New York, iSmart Mobile in Montana, VoicePulse (News - Alert) in New Jersey and Windy City Cellular in Adak, Alaska.
